FLIGHT CREW REQUIREMENTS

In addition to the basic required licenses and certificates, applicants shall possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to follow instructions with minimum supervision, and work well in a safety minded, team oriented environment.

Flight Crew required qualifications, skills and knowledge:

  • Candidates MUST be Canadian citizens or MUST be legally entitled to work in Canada.

  • Commercial Pilot Helicopter Licence (CPHL) issued by Transport Canada

  • Minimum 1000+ hours PIC rotary wing

  • Consideration will be given to those with endorsements on one (or more) of the following types of aircraft – Bell 206 and Sikorsky SK76A++.

  • Additional consideration given to candidates with experience in precision long line / external load, flying in wire environment, aerial application and production environments.

  • Pilots must be safety conscientious, highly motivated and a consummate professional in and out of the cockpit.

  • Strong customer rapport and job completion in a safe and effective manner are paramount to you.

  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects in various environments

  • Have a diversified range of operational experience.

  • Valid Driver’s license with no restrictions and clean Driver’s Abstract.

  • Valid Passport

MAINTENANCE CREW REQUIREMENTS

The maintenance crews provide maintenance and servicing for all aircraft, support and ground equipment within the Vision Air fleet. In addition to the basic required licenses and certificates, applicants shall possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to follow instructions with minimum supervision, and work well in a safety minded, team oriented environment.

AME (or Apprentice) required qualifications, skills and knowledge:

  • Candidates MUST be Canadian citizens or MUST be legally entitled to work in Canada.

  • Valid Transport Canada AME license with applicable type courses, Class type M1, M2 or E

  • Consideration will be given to those with endorsements on one (or more) of the following types of aircraft – Bell 206 and Sikorsky S-76A++

  • Experience servicing various ground equipment and small gas engines.

  • Knowledge of WHIMS and controlled substances.

  • Must maintain a current Dangerous Goods certificate and be aware of Dangerous Goods shipping procedures.

  • Strong customer rapport and job completion in a safe and effective manner are paramount to you.

  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects in various environments

  • Have a diversified range of operational experience.

  • Valid Driver’s license with no restrictions and clean Driver’s Abstract.

  • Valid Passport

ADMINISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

Our head office is located at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ).  We offer a dynamic, exciting, thriving environment where employees are encouraged and motivated to excel.  The administration team provides support to daily operations, including flight and crew scheduling, dispatching, flight following, computer operations, data entry, bookkeeping, maintenance tracking and other administrative tasks.

Applicants shall possess excellent communication skills and knowledge in software such as MS Office Suite. Experience using Sage 50 accounting software and various maintenance tracking software considered an asset.
